After the first half Scofield were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Juan Romero made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Scofield's Juan Romero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fermin Estevez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Nicasio Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Scofield's Fermin Hotz got a free kick in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Omar Estebano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Fabian Pello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 1-7 when Juan Romero sped through Karasuno's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fermin Estevez. After 84 minutes, Aaron Rodriguez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scofield and the Karasuno players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Karasuno booed when Scofield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Rodriguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Romero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Fermin Estevez when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
