In the 16th minute, Isaac Marcones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Isaac Marcones came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Velez Sarsfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Marcones couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Mipul™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Baristo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Isaac Marcones managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez Sarsfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Marcones was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teobaldo Izel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Ermengol. 41 minutes into the game, Velez Sarsfield's Isaac Marcones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teobaldo Izel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Isaac Marcones managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez Sarsfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Marcones was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teobaldo Izel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Isaac Marcones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aaron Sidoro to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Marcones in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobaldo Izel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Sidoro came free, but Uriel Raymon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60thth minute of the game Isaac Marcones who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mipul™'s Teobaldo Izel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teobaldo Izel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Marcones in the 65th minute of the match. Velez Sarsfield were furious when Braulio Pierres was red carded, 78 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Velez Sarsfield! Velez Sarsfield:s Uriel Raymon showed great skill when he stopped Everardo Maldonado:s penalty. Everardo Maldonado did an outstanding performance 80 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-2 to the right of an irritated Uriel Raymon in the goal. The audience was convinced that Isaac Marcones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teobaldo Izel was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Isaac Marcones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Izel having to interfere. Teobaldo Izel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Berbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Teobaldo Izel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Marcones's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
