Jesus Rexino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Boniel went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Guillermo Teyo's late challenge caught a Santa Maradona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Teyo helped the player get up and apologised. Guillermo Teyo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Jesus Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Boniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 15th minute of the match Bernardino Oliveiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bernardino Oliveiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 15th match minute, Deportivo Capitalista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Oliveiro to maneuver through the defense. Benigno Vermudo took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jesus Rexino. The Deportivo Capitalista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesus Rexino should have stopped the shot. After 39 minutes of play Deportivo Capitalista's Guillermo Teyo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Guillermo Teyo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The supporters of Deportivo Capitalista booed when Santa Maradona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis Santana was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Benigno Vermudo made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Capitalista's Jesus Rexino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th minute, Benigno Vermudo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The supporters of Deportivo Capitalista booed when Santa Maradona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Jesus Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Santana in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Luis Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesus Rexino stood somewhat misplaced when Luis Santana came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 91 minute. The Deportivo Capitalista fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santa Maradona were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
