Deportivo Kadorna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA the free kick. 10 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Kadorna:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Deportivo Kadorna getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alejo Ereinotz hit a great ball. Aldo Maureo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Primitivo Lano hit a great ball. Tautvydas Mickevičius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alejo Ferdinand in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tautvydas Mickevičius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Deportivo Kadorna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Šale Roura in the 25th minute. The corner ended in Šale Roura almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius did a great save. 28 minutes into the match, Deportivo Kadorna's goalkeeper Anibal Erlantz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guido Carrillo. Anibal Erlantz was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Omar Erez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Omar Erez really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After 34 minutes of play Deportivo Kadorna's Alfonso Izotz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Deportivo Kadorna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Izotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Alejo Ereinotz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alejo Ereinotz took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tautvydas Mickevičius. Tautvydas Mickevičius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Constantino Quinton lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA! Tautvydas Mickevičius had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Šale Roura's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 47th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Txomin to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Quinton to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Primitivo Lano got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Omar Erez charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Erez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Omar Erez hit a great ball. Omar Erez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anibal Erlantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Erez in the 67th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Checa. Prospero Quinton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tautvydas Mickevičius came out and tried to block the shot, but Prospero Quinton slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 77th minute. A collision led to Deportivo Kadorna getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Prospero Quinton hit a great ball. Alejo Ferdinand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Ereinotz in the 96th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Deportivo Kadorna failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
