LTA FC's Ivan Bernad got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivan Bernad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quique Iglesias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Emiliano Ekialde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Maiorga having to interfere. Martin Palermo spun around in front of the goal 16 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Los Delfines's goal. Arsenio Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vykan Clicker in the 20th minute of play. Martin Palermo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Sergio Berti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arsenio Maiorga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vykan Clicker, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Darwin in the 28th minute of play forced LTA FC's goalkeeper Arsenio Maiorga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arsenio Maiorga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute, Sacha Boey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Delfines fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 47th match minute, Los Delfines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Berti to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Palermo made a kick off. Raimundo Porfiro kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Los Delfines's Quique Iglesias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Bernad in the 52nd minute of play. Arsenio Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Berti in the 56th minute of play. Arsenio Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vykan Clicker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Palermo charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 80 minutes, Gaudencio Hernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LTA FC and the Los Delfines players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, LTA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Hernandez to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Los Delfines's Charles Darwin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. When the match was over Los Delfines could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than LTA FC throughout the match.
