No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Lohitzun to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, 0 descensos's Alberto Lohitzun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogelio Goyo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arturo Estevez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jacobo Oxel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Rogelio Goyo made a huge save. Rolando Sedeni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Txaran in the 80th minute of the match. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Rogelio Goyo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Patricio Rey Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute Silvano Salvadore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Sedeni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Sedeni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Rogelio Goyo got control of the ball when Faustino Frederico tried to sneak it across the goal line.
