Natalio Casado succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 10th playminute. Ismael Garaona made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Arnulfo Restu sent off a good shot on target. Roque Orlan's late challenge caught a C. A. BELGRANO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Orlan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Itacaruaré FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Orlan to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Itacaruaré FC booed when C. A. BELGRANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Bonifaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaias Bonifaco got his second yellow card in the match during the 41st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magno Fernandes to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Restu in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Garaona saved Itacaruaré FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Itacaruaré FC's Claudio Santio got a free kick in the 61st minute. Magno Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Amor having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Iyan during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C. A. BELGRANO's Mario Iyan got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Itacaruaré FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Magno Fernandes hit a great ball. After 81 played minutes C. A. BELGRANO got a freekick which was hit by Cleto Bizi. Amadeo Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, C. A. BELGRANO's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jesus Peio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Itacaruaré FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
