After 3 minutes, Ciriaco Abaunza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guns And Roses and the Nippur de Lagash 2 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Clemente Ciano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Guns And Roses's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Ciano came free, but Leo Paskal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marcel Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, Clemente Ciano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Guns And Roses's Leo Paskal. Leo Paskal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Marcel Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guns And Roses's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan De Mitri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicasio Belmiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan De Mitri. That made the score 1-2 in the 23 minute of play. After 32 played minutes Guns And Roses got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Teles. In the 35th minute Lorenzo Bertran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Paskal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guns And Roses's Rodolfo Jurdan got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Nippur de Lagash 2 booed when Guns And Roses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Guns And Roses made a substitution. Luigi Bosca replaced Jeremy Bentham. The wind increased when Clemente Ciano made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan De Mitri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Belmiro in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Nippur de Lagash 2's zone, Nicasio Belmiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan De Mitri came out of the goal and Nicasio Belmiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leo Paskal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Bertran, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Leo Paskal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaudencio Padro went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Nippur de Lagash 2's Jonathan De Mitri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Belmiro in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guns And Roses's Luigi Bosca got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Guns And Roses's Leo Paskal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Palben in the 64th minute of play. Marcel Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan De Mitri having to interfere. Jonathan De Mitri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Clemente Ciano came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Nippur de Lagash 2 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Ciano couldn't finish the play. Jonathan De Mitri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Belmiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st match minute, Nippur de Lagash 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano De Mitri to maneuver through the defense. Nippur de Lagash 2's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
