The supporters of Copérnico F.C. booed when Fecha Libre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Zenón didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Paublo in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asopos Katsiavrias in the 16th minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Leandro Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Copérnico F.C.'s Sixto Jurgi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leandro Cruz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Cristian Gau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cirilo Paublo went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Leandro Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asopos Katsiavrias in the 26th minute of the match. During the 29th minute of the match Kevin Zenón completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kevin Zenón a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Kevin Zenón kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Fecha Libre's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Montrell came free, but Leandro Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Alvaro Montrell notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Fecha Libre's Leandro Cruz. Leandro Cruz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leandro Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Jurgi in the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fecha Libre's Israel Mazuste got a free kick in the 41st minute. Fecha Libre's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Montrell in the 46th minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Leandro Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerardo Rami to make the kick off. If Gerardo Rami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Copérnico F.C.'s Urki Veraza got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Sixto Jurgi fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Copérnico F.C.'s protests and gave Sixto Jurgi a yellow card for diving instead. Sixto Jurgi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Fecha Libre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Rami to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes Asopos Katsiavrias could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-4 into the left cross. When Edgard Sadurni fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fecha Libre's protests and gave Edgard Sadurni a yellow card for diving instead. Leandro Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Sixto Jurgi got free with Leandro Cruz in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Alvaro Montrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th match minute, Copérnico F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Padro to maneuver through the defense. Asopos Katsiavrias took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Cruz. Leandro Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Copérnico F.C. played a much better game than Fecha Libre and deserved their victory. The Fecha Libre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
