The coaching staff of River Plate ® 9-12 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcos Gelacio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for River Plate ® 9-12! Jacobo Iliana went to the wrong direction when Abel Sandaili was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Benito Montae who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Iliana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th minute Jabones Tocadores were awarded a corner. Abel Sandaili went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Jeremias Etxekopar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but River Plate ® 9-12's Jacobo Iliana did a great save. In the 59th minute, one of Jabones Tocadores:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jabones Tocadores. Generoso Ugaitz scored 1-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Lorien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Montae in the 65th minute of play forced River Plate ® 9-12's goalkeeper Jacobo Iliana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Isidro Taurino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jabones Tocadores's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidro Taurino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Iliana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, River Plate ® 9-12's goalkeeper Jacobo Iliana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Montae.
