The coaching staff of Trinidad 4.7 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and David Lope had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Gastres FC were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Trinidad 4.7's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicolas Gonza took the corner. Trinidad 4.7's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Natalio Refugio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Natalio Refugio made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Trinidad 4.7 got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Tallia. Freddy Haitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Refugio in the 58th minute of play. Nicolas Gonza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Haitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Refugio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melquiades Elia charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melquiades Elia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd match minute, Trinidad 4.7 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Elia to maneuver through the defense. The tension between the Gastres FC and the Trinidad 4.7 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Freddy Haitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 76th minute, David Calvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Baumer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Virgilio Txilar. Gastres FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 78 played minutes Gastres FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Gonza. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Gonza couldn't finish the play. Gastres FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
