In the 40th minute, Ovidio Argi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the game, Nicanor Araoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cementerio Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nouvelle Vague the free kick. The supporters of Nouvelle Vague booed when Cementerio Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Araoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cementerio Club were furious when Emilio Maureo was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The goalkeeper, Clodoveo Donzel, was totally fooled by Nouvelle Vague's Anastasio Vitin, who 51 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Venancio Cesaro to make the kick off. Clodoveo Donzel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Ederono in the 60th minute of the match. Nicanor Araoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Socorro having to interfere. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the game, Froilan Ederono cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Clodoveo Donzel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Nouvelle Vague players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
