The supporters of Los Hornos booed when Martin Palermo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Elia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Eustaquio Omero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Estevez came free, but Martín Izquierdo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Eustaquio Omero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martín Izquierdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Estevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Los Hornos got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Elivareo. In the 30th minute, Segundo Peyo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Los Hornos's Everardo Francho didn't even have to move. 31 minutes into the match, Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Izquierdo. After 33 played minutes Los Hornos got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Valery. Everardo Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Izquierdo in the 36th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaac Perrando got free with Everardo Francho in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martín Izquierdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Estevez in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustaquio Omero was the one to do the kick off. A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Benicio Izquierdo with Isaac Perrando as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 58 minutes into the game, one of Martin Palermo F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Martin Palermo F.C. defense, Bernardo Estevez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martín Izquierdo. The Martin Palermo F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martín Izquierdo should have stopped the shot. Bernardo Estevezs short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Martín Izquierdo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eustaquio Omero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Martin Palermo F.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Segundo Peyo hit a great ball. Bernardo Estevez struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Martín Izquierdo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Hornos. 90 minutes into the game, one of Martin Palermo F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Leandro Guib's late challenge caught a Martin Palermo F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Guib helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Leandro Guib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everardo Francho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Lertxun in the 95th minute of the match. If Eustaquio Omero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benicio Izquierdo got a throw-in 98 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Isaac Perrando.
