In the 4th minute of the match Elias Clis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guaberto Gasteiz skillfully saved the ball. Fidel Camerino kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Fidel Camerino came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Rossobianco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Camerino couldn't finish the play. After 10 played minutes Rossobianco got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Marcones. Ladislao Koldo got his second yellow card in the match during the 13th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 14th minute, Ladislao Koldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geronimo Sagrario in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Gasteiz saved Rossobianco from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Donato Nuxila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Nuxila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Gasteiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th match minute, Rossobianco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Endira to maneuver through the defense. Guaberto Gasteiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Sagrario, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The referee showed Fidel Camerino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fidel Camerino kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Geronimo Sagrario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quilmes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geronimo Sagrario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fidel Camerino to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Geronimo Sagrario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Gasteiz was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 91st minute Rodrigo Delfino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Rodrigo Delfino sped through Rossobianco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guaberto Gasteiz.
