Venezia FC's Amado Larra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Mederi in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Venezia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Pastore came free, but Amado Larra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amado Larra came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcos Mederi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 63rd minute. When Clemente Rodriguez fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 70th minute, Javier Pastore fired a really elegant long shot, but Amado Larra threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Characate FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
