The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Eduardo Luzaide fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 5 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Ponce recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulino Venerando. Maximiliano Ponce showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Enzo Ekain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Ildefonso Frascuelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Vedillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manos Uchiha having to interfere. Nueva Bodega's Paulino Venerando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Horado in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Ildefonso Frascuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Uchiha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Nueva Bodega's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Luzaide came free, but Paulino Venerando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes, Haroldo Gauargi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nueva Bodega and the 1984 Castelli Futbol players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of 1984 Castelli Futbol booed when Nueva Bodega was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Gauargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Nueva Bodega's goalkeeper Paulino Venerando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Etxeberri. Eustacio Horado took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulino Venerando. Paulino Venerando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 32 minutes of play, 1984 Castelli Futbol's Enzo Ekain made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulino Venerando was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manos Uchiha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Vedillo in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Nueva Bodega booed when 1984 Castelli Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Ponce didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Haroldo Gauargi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute of the match, Eustacio Horado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulino Venerando saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 48th minute, Nueva Bodega's Denis Basualdo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Denis Basualdo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nueva Bodega protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Denis Basualdo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Nueva Bodega:s Paulino Venerando showed great skill when he stopped Eustacio Horado:s penalty. After a long run with the ball, Eustacio Horado did a trick in the 51st minute in front of Nueva Bodega's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 5-0. An impressive performance by 1984 Castelli Futbol's Eustacio Horado! Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ildefonso Frascuelo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Etxeberri in the 56th minute of play forced Nueva Bodega's goalkeeper Paulino Venerando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ildefonso Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Maximiliano Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Luzaide scored 6-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulino Venerando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Nueva Bodega defense, Eustacio Horado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulino Venerando. The Nueva Bodega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulino Venerando should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute, Enzo Ekain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 1984 Castelli Futbol's Hermengildo Etxeberri got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Lucas Bastia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of 1984 Castelli Futbol booed when Nueva Bodega was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Vedillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes Nueva Bodega got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Bastia. Paulino Venerando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Ekain in the 83rd minute of play. Agustin Giay hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Eduardo Luzaide notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Nueva Bodega's Paulino Venerando. Paulino Venerando was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nueva Bodega's Justo Goyo was substituted for Cornelio Pueblo. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 1984 Castelli Futbol fully deserved thier win.
