Acratas Unidos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. Paulo Garin kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Genaro Odol kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Fernan Iban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Estavan in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Jacinto Estavan made a precise shot to the right of Fernan Iban. Acratas Unidos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Mariano Gorosti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Berart hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Zeledon Sazon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Fernan Iban made a huge save. Fernan Iban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Estavan, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paolo Nahia to make the kick off. The supporters of Independiente booed when Acratas Unidos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes, Independiente's Jacinto Estavan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernan Iban came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Independiente reached it. The audience was convinced that Zeledon Sazon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernan Iban was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Fernan Iban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Sazon in the 60th minute of the match. After 63 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Gorosti. Pablo Filipo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Independiente's Guaberto Chorche was substituted for Jacinto Estavan. After a rather tough play, Acratas Unidos's Pablo Filipo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Mariano Gorosti took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernan Iban. Acratas Unidos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paolo Nahia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Christian Muc made a huge save. Fernan Iban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Victoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genaro Odol charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Odol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Acratas Unidos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
