But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Baumer couldn't finish the play. After 12 minutes San Fernando Eagles's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Freddy Corderun who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Freddy Corderun got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlos Erruki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Carlos Erruki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Urtzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobias Urtzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Carlos Erruki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Belfegor FC booed when San Fernando Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Errolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Erruki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tobias Urtzi went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Carlos Erruki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Magno, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Tobias Urtzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Erruki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Sol was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Tobias Urtzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Fernando Eagles's Carlos Erruki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Erruki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Foro went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 57 minutes into the game, Belfegor FC's Tobias Urtzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Erruki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The tension between the San Fernando Eagles and the Belfegor FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, San Fernando Eagles's Marcial Errolan got a free kick in the 69th minute. Leandro Lazaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Carlos Erruki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 89th minute Carlo Magno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Erruki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belfegor FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Freddy Corderun in the 91st minute. If Leandro Lazaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Belfegor FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Belfegor FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
