Prospero Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Baumer in the 3rd minute of play. Marcial Errolan kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 4th minute of the match Nicanor Urtun shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Erruki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. San Fernando Eagles were furious when Rodrigo Lartaun was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Carlos Erruki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severo Hunfredo's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Danilo Firmin kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 13th play minutes Severo Hunfredo shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Carlos Erruki and just under the crossbar into goal. Leonides Lidon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Prospero Aballe made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Aballe in the 32nd minute of play forced San Fernando Eagles's goalkeeper Carlos Erruki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cavern Club's Severo Hunfredo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Danilo Firmin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The Cavern Club's Angel Aballe got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Severo Hunfredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Erruki was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 77th match minute, San Fernando Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Chap to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Erruki acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 78th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nicanor Urtun. 82 minutes into the match, San Fernando Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Hunfredo came free, but Carlos Erruki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Pagomari got a throw-in 92 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Leonides Lidon. Carlos Erruki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Hunfredo in the 93rd minute of the match. The Cavern Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
