Celta de Virgos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabe Estavan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th match minute, Cable a Tierra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Alonso to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Alonso hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Eusebio Gorosti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cable a Tierra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Servando in the 36th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Ismael Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cable a Tierra defense, Joel Servando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Ubarna. The Cable a Tierra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Ubarna should have stopped the shot. Herminio Pirmin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Gorosti in the 41st minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 51st match minute, Celta de Virgos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Miliano to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Celta de Virgos's zone, Eusebio Gorosti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Pirmin came out of the goal and Eusebio Gorosti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herminio Pirmin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Gorosti, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Tomas Huly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Servando hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Celta de Virgos made a substitution. Ernesto Iraitz replaced Joel Servando. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Celta de Virgos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Servando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Miliano hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Herminio Pirmin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xiao Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th match minute, Celta de Virgos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Dodorol to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Xiao Yuan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Herminio Pirmin, 1-2. Cable a Tierra made a substitution. Aquilino Guerrero replaced Tomas Huly. Cable a Tierra's Baltasar Gaitan was substituted for Eusebio Gorosti. 77 minutes into the match, Celta de Virgos's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Ekain came free, but Herminio Pirmin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Celta de Virgos getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Leopoldo Constancio hit a great ball. Camilo Alonso made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Celta de Virgos's Bernabe Estavan. Celta de Virgos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Baltasar Gaitan scored to the left of an out of position Herminio Pirmin, making the score, 1-3. Baltasar Gaitan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Herminio Pirmin firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xiao Yuan in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Pirmin saved Celta de Virgos from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Xiao Yuan put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Herminio Pirmin. Herminio Pirmin came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Cable a Tierra's Baltasar Gaitan. But to his dismay, Baltasar Gaitan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xiao Yuan in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Pirmin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Cable a Tierra could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Celta de Virgos throughout the match.
