Otto Smitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Pavon, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, Internet XAire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Gamarra to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Internet XAire's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Morales came free, but Oswaldo Oswald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateo Gamarra did an outstanding performance 45 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-0 to the right of an irritated Otto Smitt in the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Morales stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Filiberto Paz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otto Smitt. La Naranja Mecánica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filiberto Paz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 62 minutes into the game, Internet XAire's Alfredo Pavon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otto Smitt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Internet XAire's Victorio Perico was substituted for Alfredo Pavon. La Naranja Mecánica's Otto Smitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Paz in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Internet XAire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wincenty Tomporowski to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo Oswald didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonzalo Morales went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Otto Smitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiberto Paz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Filiberto Paz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Smitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Michel Platini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oswaldo Oswald didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonzalo Morales went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Internet XAire's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
