If Kirk Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 minutes of play, Universitario's Joachim Arana made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Rainey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Simon Rainey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillen Mijangos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Rainey was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Andy Somellera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andy Somellera really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 21 minutes into the game, Universitario's Guillen Mijangos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simon Rainey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 25th minute of the match Reyes Bernard shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matro Perramon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kermit Regan in the 28th minute of play forced Universitario's goalkeeper Matro Perramon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joachim Arana let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 30th minute shot 4-0 at rihgt post. Simon Rainey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Somellera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Rainey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Arana, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 40th minute, Universitario's Guillen Mijangos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Simon Rainey. Simon Rainey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. 44 minutes into the match, Flagstaff's goalkeeper Simon Rainey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joachim Arana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillen Mijangos in the 46th minute of play forced Flagstaff's goalkeeper Simon Rainey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute of the match, Joachim Arana got a very nice opportunity to score, but Simon Rainey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

52 minutes into the match, Universitario's Joachim Arana broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Flagstaff's Simon Rainey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidal Cantabrana in the 60th minute of play. Simon Rainey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasto Tella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Flagstaff booed when Universitario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garcia Gorostieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kirk Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Matro Perramon made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Andy Somellera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Rainey was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Kirk Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matro Perramon having to interfere. Simon Rainey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Arana in the 75th minute of play. Dane Moser kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Joachim Arana took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon Rainey. Simon Rainey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Arana in the 85th minute of play forced Flagstaff's goalkeeper Simon Rainey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flagstaff's Simon Rainey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Arana in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Flagstaff's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Arana came free, but Simon Rainey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Flagstaff's Roosevelt Hollis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matro Perramon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 93 minutes, Roosevelt Hollis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flagstaff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roosevelt Hollis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Universitario's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
