Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Halcones Azules's Fausto Salvino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rosario Encalada received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karl-Oskar Odén came out and tried to block the shot, but Rosario Encalada slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Aztore Sarantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Salvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Naelio in the 10th minute of play forced El Pinar's goalkeeper Aztore Sarantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Rigoberto Manso managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Pinar's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Manso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After some careless play in the El Pinar defense, Gerardo Oriche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aztore Sarantes. The El Pinar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aztore Sarantes should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Manso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes El Pinar got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Lazaeta. Wilfredo Naelios short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Aztore Sarantes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 58 minutes, Fausto Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Halcones Azules's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Salvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 59 played minutes El Pinar got a freekick which was hit by Zarando Dolmos. Aztore Sarantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Salvino in the 60th minute of play. Halcones Azules's Gerardo Oriche got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Fausto Salvino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aztore Sarantes. The goal made the score 1-3. Halcones Azules made a substitution. Tadeo Eleder replaced Wilfredo Naelio. After a rather tough play, Halcones Azules's Geronimo Chepe got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Aztore Sarantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Eleder, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Aztore Sarantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Chepe in the 93rd minute of the match. When Gerardo Oriche came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Halcones Azules fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Oriche couldn't finish the play. The Halcones Azules supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Halcones Azules would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
