After a defensive mix-up in Los Gordos's zone, Sammie Egan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jayson Slaughter came out of the goal and Sammie Egan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Sammie Egan made a precise shot to the right of Jayson Slaughter. Los Gordos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Sammie Egan might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jayson Slaughter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sammie Egan ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sammie Egan in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jayson Slaughter saved Los Gordos from getting behind. Zachariah Bennett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenic Biggs in the 36th minute of the match. Jayson Slaughter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romain Corcoran in the 37th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domenic Biggs was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Romain Corcoran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hurricanes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romain Corcoran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jayson Slaughter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jayson Slaughter was a little too slow when Romain Corcoran got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 65th minute, Romain Corcoran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hurricanes FC's Claudio Bermudez got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sammie Egan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Jayson Slaughter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jayson Slaughter didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-8. Jayson Slaughter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammie Egan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommie Horne was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 81st minute, Romain Corcoran fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jayson Slaughter, passed just outside the right post. Jayson Slaughter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romain Corcoran, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Sammie Egan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jayson Slaughter having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Alfredo Larsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alfredo Larsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jayson Slaughter having to interfere.
