The audience was convinced that Roman Ogden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Matos was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Gonz FC's Klaas Jan Papachronopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juvenal Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Ogden in the 35th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Robby Couch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tango en Miami FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robby Couch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Gonz FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Sergio Gizon hit a great ball. Juvenal Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Ogden in the 47th minute of play. The Gonz FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tango en Miami FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robby Couch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Tango en Miami FC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Tango en Miami FC's Roman Ogden looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Luzea during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roman Ogden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Juvenal Matos made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Gonz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robby Couch came free, but Juvenal Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Robby Couch recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juvenal Matos. When Dario Luzea was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Gonz FC's Dario Luzea got a free kick in the 91st minute. Robby Couch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Juvenal Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Rafael Bela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gonz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tango en Miami FC the free kick. A collision led to Gonz FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Tango en Miami FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pat Lozano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Although Gonz FC had been in control for most of the match, Tango en Miami FC still came away with the win.
