After 21 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Mascareñas. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Eduardo Mascareñas got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Eduardo Mascareñas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ysmael Golpe kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Jairo Collador stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tin Santamaria's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Tin Santamaria lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Jairo Collador. In the 38th minute of the match, Chiriboga Campuzano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jairo Collador was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tin Santamaria in the 39th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Jairo Collador to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of CANTERANOS DMS booed when Liga de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Mascareñas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Collador didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CANTERANOS DMS's Tin Santamaria shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Mascareñas to make the kick off. Jairo Collador showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilio Horreo in the 81st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tin Santamaria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo Collador was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
