In the 10th match minute, Octavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Distiratsu Abajas to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Jobo Abel came free, but Jairo Collador reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jobo Abel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Collador having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Mateo Cancel got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute Atarratze Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Collador saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Liga de Quito booed when Octavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Katia Abaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Collador made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jobo Abel in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Octavia were awarded a corner. Zosimo Abancens went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Octavia's corner Zosimo Abancens fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jairo Collador quite easily take care of the ball. The Octavia fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Octavia's Jobo Abel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 44 minutes, Jobo Abel made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Liga de Quito's Jairo Collador tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Liga de Quito players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Octavia were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Mascareñas was the one to do the kick off. Octavia were furious when Rolado Abendano was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Zosimo Abancens struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jairo Collador didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Octavia. Checa Cerezo charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Checa Cerezo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Checa Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jairo Collador showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atarratze Abarca in the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Distiratsu Abajas came free, but Jairo Collador reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Distiratsu Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Collador having to interfere. Zosimo Abancens's late challenge caught a Liga de Quito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zosimo Abancens helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Octavia getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Zosimo Abancens hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Urbano Pacio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liga de Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbano Pacio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ado Abello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Liga de Quito booed when Octavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Papo Abalos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Distiratsu Abajas during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Octavia got a freekick which was hit by Distiratsu Abajas. Jairo Collador made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Atarratze Abarca sent off a good shot on target. Katia Abaurre hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute Octavia were awarded a corner. Zosimo Abancens went to the cornerflag to take it. If Distiratsu Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Collador showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atarratze Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the game, Nestor Ibaute was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liga de Quito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Octavia the free kick. Nestor Ibaute kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Octavia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Liga de Quito.
