The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cordarrol Tama helped the player get up and apologised. Cordarrol Tama hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute Cebo Morejon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoil Frenes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Roldan Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmacio Caldueño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urrutia Iruretagoyena in the 14th minute of play. Zoil Frenes made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Cebo Morejon sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordarrol Tama to maneuver through the defense. Club Olimpia's Dalmacio Caldueño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dannes Asuaga in the 32nd minute of play. Real Guayaquil.F.C.'s Zoil Frenes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliazar Salantes in the 35th minute of play. Cebo Morejon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Zoil Frenes made a huge save. Cebo Morejon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cebo Morejon to strike the kick off in the second half. Zoil Frenes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliazar Salantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Club Olimpia got a corner. Real Guayaquil.F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gorbea Sasiain ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gorbea Sasiain made a great header on Club Olimpia's corner, it was just that Real Guayaquil.F.C.'s Zoil Frenes managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 60th minute, Cebo Morejon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zoil Frenes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Cebo Morejon scored 4-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zoil Frenes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 76th play minutes Cebo Morejon shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Zoil Frenes and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Club Olimpia getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Isias Gorbin hit a great ball. Dalmacio Caldueño acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Xines Ludueña. Erwin Salciness short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Dalmacio Caldueño to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zoil Frenes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cebo Morejon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st match minute, Real Guayaquil.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xines Ludueña to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 92 minutes, Cebo Morejon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Olimpia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cebo Morejon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
