An unexpectedly hard shot by Cebo Morejon in the 4th minute of play forced Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goalkeeper Ruisko Perucho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruisko Perucho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cebo Morejon, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A collision led to Club Olimpia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Aquiles Saavedra hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Eliazar Salantes. Ruisko Perucho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cebo Morejon, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Xuban Benedid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Caldueño having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cebo Morejon in the 25th minute of play forced Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goalkeeper Ruisko Perucho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 41st minute of the match Eliazar Salantes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eliazar Salantes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Club Olimpia getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Eliazar Salantes hit a great ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Pes Carrasquedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pes Carrasquedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Pes Carrasquedo fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glorioso Deportivo Cali's protests and gave Pes Carrasquedo a yellow card for diving instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cebo Morejon to make the kick off. Pes Carrasquedo scored 1-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmacio Caldueño, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Pes Carrasquedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toli Buron hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Vinicio Ciencabrero struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Dalmacio Caldueño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glorioso Deportivo Cali. After a rather tough play, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Hotz Apellaniz got a free kick in the 71st minute. Club Olimpia's Dalmacio Caldueño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pes Carrasquedo in the 82nd minute of play. Jayvier Esquide got a throw-in 86 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cebo Morejon. In the 89th minute, one of Glorioso Deportivo Cali:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Glorioso Deportivo Cali. Jayvier Esquide shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Cordarrol Tama hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Glorioso Deportivo Cali were the better team. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
