The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santiago Zabarte hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 7th match minute, Valle Saron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zunbeltz Artealde to maneuver through the defense. Zoil Frenes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brun Mugica went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute, Brun Mugica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zoil Frenes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Brun Mugica blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zoil Frenes having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Brun Mugica put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Zoil Frenes. Arano Esparza made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Erwin Salcines sent off a good shot on target. Arano Esparza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dannes Asuaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zoil Frenes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Saron in the 32nd minute of the match. Erwin Salcines hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Valle Saron's Martinez Costeras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zoil Frenes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Brun Mugica blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zoil Frenes having to make a save. In the 46th match minute, Valle Saron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Sarmanton to maneuver through the defense. The Real Guayaquil.F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valle Saron were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erwin Salcines to make the kick off. If Mendoza Vinuesa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brun Mugica got free with Zoil Frenes in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the game, Brun Mugica recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zoil Frenes. Brun Mugica showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. In the 66th minute Martinez Costeras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoil Frenes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Brun Mugica took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Zoil Frenes to make any attempt to save it. Zoil Frenes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brun Mugica in the 72nd minute. In the 76th minute, Fernanco Guiza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zoil Frenes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martinez Costeras in the 88th minute of play. The Valle Saron fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Valle Saron's Martinez Costeras looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Real Guayaquil.F.C.'s Mendoza Vinuesa suffered a concussion in the 94th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. A collision led to Valle Saron getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Fernanco Guiza hit a great ball. Valle Saron's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
