Berry Negron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xuban Llave having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, San Antonio HotSPURS's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Vilardell came free, but Ulysses Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Efrain Vilardell in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses Reyes saved San Antonio HotSPURS from getting behind. After a rather tough play, San Antonio HotSPURS's Seth Kirkpatrick got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Berry Negron came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the San Antonio HotSPURS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berry Negron couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Efrain Vilardell made a kick off. Ulysses Reyes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Vilardell in the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Berry Negron could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Xuban Llave however easily saved by the left post. Daniel Palomar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berry Negron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Xuban Llave tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Heinz-Gerd Divis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Maturrango's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Antonio HotSPURS the free kick. Ederono Ojero replaced Efrain Vilardell. San Antonio HotSPURS's Jasper Tidwell was substituted for Seth Kirkpatrick. The throw-in from Charles Hamby in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atletico Maturrango's Antonio Salmanton. In the 75th match minute, Atletico Maturrango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oso Sigali to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Berry Negron sped through Atletico Maturrango's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Xuban Llave. Xuban Llave was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Berry Negron capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Berry Negron really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. When the match was over San Antonio HotSPURS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico Maturrango throughout the match.
