The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chupeño's goal looked a bit too open when Vedillo Villela came free, but Agustin Avellaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Burni Tornamira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Agustin Avellaneda made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s Agustin Avellaneda threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sengrat Sañudo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 27 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chupeño's goal looked a bit too open when Vedillo Villela came free, but Agustin Avellaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorio Villagomez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Misael Abarca in the 33rd minute of play. Agustin Avellaneda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Valera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorio Villagomez came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Chupeño's Ascencio Abechuco. But to his dismay, Ascencio Abechuco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 42 minutes into the match, Ascencio Abechuco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dorio Villagomez. Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ascencio Abechuco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Agustin Avellaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vedillo Villela in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Sportivo Chupeño were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute Salvador Valera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Avellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvador Valera scored 1-3 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Agustin Avellaneda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s Beti Leyva got a free kick in the 55th minute. Dorio Villagomez made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Hugo Abajas sent off a good shot on target. Ascencio Abechuco came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dorio Villagomez could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beti Leyva during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dorio Villagomez made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Hugo Abajas sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s zone, Ildefonso Abaunza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorio Villagomez came out of the goal and Ildefonso Abaunza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th match minute, Sportivo Chupeño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Udalaitz Abancens to maneuver through the defense. With 68 minutes on the clock, Eustacio Abeitia commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sportivo Chupeño! 76 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chupeño's goal looked a bit too open when Vedillo Villela came free, but Agustin Avellaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Ascencio Abechuco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Chupeño's Udalaitz Abancens got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Sportivo Chupeño players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Deportivo Alianza Lima. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
