Lanny Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Palomera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lanny Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Marcos Sewell got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of C. A. Pipon Pipon booed when Res Non Verba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rioja Cortinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Txerran Gotor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Whitehead during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Whitehead. After a rather tough play, Res Non Verba's Anacleto Arijola got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Nuno Palomera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lanny Valle in the 38th minute. Anacleto Arijola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Clemente Armani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Clemente Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Agudiez in the 42nd minute of play. Bill Livingston struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Nuno Palomera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Pipon Pipon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Agudiez in the 48th minute of play forced C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Clemente Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Sewell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Txerran Gotor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rioja Cortinez hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Palomera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bobby Fisher during the 77th minute.
