After having played for 3 minutes, Paco Raab managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ramon Ingram took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Julio Almi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candido Hoefler succeeded in the game's 7th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Ramon Ingram had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paco Raab. The supporters of River tu grato nombre booed when U. de Tarapacá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Hoefler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Thomas scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kåre Nochev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in U. de Tarapacá's zone, Stacey Eason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kåre Nochev came out of the goal and Stacey Eason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Archie Maddox came free, but Kåre Nochev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Maddox in the 26th minute of play forced U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Kåre Nochev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kåre Nochev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Archie Maddox, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Mariano Talledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. José Julio Almi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Ramon Ingram skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stacey Eason to make the kick off. Quentín Saravia kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes U. de Tarapacá got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Talledo. After having played for 74 minutes, Mariano Talledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U. de Tarapacá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Talledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramon Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Talledo in the 86th minute of the match. Mariano Talledo took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramon Ingram. Ramon Ingram dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 91 played minutes, River tu grato nombre's Rodney Mallory shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kåre Nochev came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in River tu grato nombre reached it. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Paco Raab hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the River tu grato nombre players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for U. de Tarapacá.
