In the 15th match minute, Todos al Fondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Abaunza to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Todos al Fondo's Agapito Payet got control of the ball when Luis Aravena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gorbea Helguera charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gorbea Helguera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Magallanes's Herminio Quintero was substituted for Lino Bombal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Palet was the one to do the kick off. Tomás Las Casas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Garnelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Denis Garnelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Las Casas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Garnelo ran back to his position shaking his head. The Todos al Fondo fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Todos al Fondo's Ronaldo Palet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Magallanes made a substitution. Emilio Formoso replaced Brian Izaga. A collision led to Magallanes getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Bernardo Dibarrart hit a great ball. In the 66th minute of the match, Gorbea Helguera got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tomás Las Casas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Agapito Payet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Aravena in the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Todos al Fondo's Ignacio Abaunza got a free kick in the 68th minute. Magallanes were furious when Luis Johnson was red carded, 70 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Luis Aravena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Todos al Fondo's Agapito Payet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Aravena in the 82nd minute of play. Tomás Las Casas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Garnelo in the 85th minute of the match. After 91 minutes, Denis Garnelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Todos al Fondo and the Magallanes players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Todos al Fondo getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Denis Garnelo hit a great ball. Tomás Las Casas made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Denis Garnelo sent off a good shot on target. In the 98th minute, Herminio Quintero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Magallanes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Todos al Fondo's performance. The match ended with a win for Todos al Fondo.
