Serbülent Baysan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute, Vitaliy Fedchenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, El Canalla de Chicago's Giuseppe Gillis got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 46thth minute of the game Rudolf Pendleton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Serbülent Baysan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Tanner Booker fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Canalla de Chicago's protests and gave Tanner Booker a yellow card for diving instead. Tanner Booker hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baumar Ontanilla to make the kick off. Bart Villanueva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Txilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudolf Pendleton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Serbülent Baysan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carlos José Opazo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Monty Stout replaced Martin Tuttle. Steve Lassus charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Steve Lassus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 96 played minutes FC Anderlecht Huachipato got a freekick which was hit by Steve Lassus. The FC Anderlecht Huachipato fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. El Canalla de Chicago were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
