A sloppy throw-in by Eudoxio Queipo in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Internacional Pechofrío's Aldo Sandianes. Edgardo Castillo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 42nd minute, when Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Fermín Gay after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Emil Zátopek in Internacional Pechofrío's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harrison McCann made a kick off. Nicolao Nogal struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emil Zátopek showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emil Zátopek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolao Nogal in the 75th minute of the match. Internacional Pechofrío's Emil Zátopek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolao Nogal in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Angelino Lore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
