Eustaquio Ondino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Valdivia in the 17th minute of play. With 59 minutes on the clock, Yago Lijo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Ortegano! Deportivo Ortegano:s Eustaquio Ondino showed great skill when he stopped Saturnino Troncoso:s penalty. Deportivo Ortegano's Ronald Vordenbäumen got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Inter de Chillán players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Deportivo Ortegano.
