The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tom Murillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ekialde Balsera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Balesio Leiva came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the AFC United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balesio Leiva couldn't finish the play. Jacobo Diagur hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Pirro Pereta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tom Murillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Ivan Iturri charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Iturri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of AFC United booed when DREAM TEAM WORLD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Iturri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalie and right to Ekialde Balsera. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. DREAM TEAM WORLD's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Pirro Pereta scored 1-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tom Murillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 43rd match minute, AFC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roegelio Moyua to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Law to make the kick off. Tom Murillo came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by AFC United's Denis Law. But to his dismay, Denis Law quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 59 played minutes AFC United got a freekick which was hit by Nemanja Vidic. AFC United's Frasco Esquivel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Soin in the 61st minute of play. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Tom Murillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pirro Pereta in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Denis Law cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tom Murillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. AFC United's Ekialde Balsera got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Law in the 70th minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Tom Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pirro Pereta struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Tom Murillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC United. Denis Law sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Law in the 80th minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Tom Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes, Conrado Cordarrell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DREAM TEAM WORLD and the AFC United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Conrado Cordarrell kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Jeremias Marko threw the ball into play from the sideline. AFC United's Pirro Pereta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. During the 90th minute of the match Ivan Iturri completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ivan Iturri a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to DREAM TEAM WORLD getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Anacleto Hitzeder hit a great ball. Tom Murillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balesio Leiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
