In the 18th minute Nicodim Ipătescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tigran Balayan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Khachatryan got a freekick which was hit by Nico Tagliafico. If Nicodim Ipătescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tigran Balayan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicodim Ipătescu went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gaston Osorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Hendrik Paas, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicodim Ipătescu in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tigran Balayan saved Khachatryan from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Raţiu got free with Gaston Osorio in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Nibiru X's goalkeeper Gaston Osorio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Raţiu. 42 minutes into the match, Nibiru X's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Hendrik Paas came free, but Gaston Osorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Nibiru X were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicodim Ipătescu to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabricio Espejo during the 61st minute. Tigran Balayan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nibiru X eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
