Wei Xuan Chandran scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 严斌帆, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Clive Politiek hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 余建棋 was the one to do the kick off. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Gerard Hoe with John Cho as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Wei Xuan Chandran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but 严斌帆 made a huge save. Gerard Hoe made in the 66th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by John Cho. When Albirex Niigata FC's Afriz Hian in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Albirex Niigata FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
