In the 29th minute, Clive Hsin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 倪冰岚 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wei Xuan Chandran in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of 【№1】锦衣夜行༺金陵༻ booed when Albirex Niigata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Tan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Chuan came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by 【№1】锦衣夜行༺金陵༻'s J.C. 凌统. But to his dismay, J.C. 凌统 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mujahid Teo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that John Cho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 倪冰岚 was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Albirex Niigata FC's Daniel Chuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 孙轩平 in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Clive Politiek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孙轩平 in the 77th minute of play forced Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper Daniel Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Khairil Lum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Albirex Niigata FC's Clive Politiek got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Albirex Niigata FC's zone, 孙轩平 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Chuan came out of the goal and 孙轩平 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 played minutes Albirex Niigata FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Hoe. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
