An unexpectedly hard shot by 魏宁德 in the 31st minute of play forced Melbourne 007's goalkeeper Jasmine Kuch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Fleming Benton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melbourne 007's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fleming Benton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 白朗乐 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fleming Benton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clark Connolly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 白朗乐 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half Melbourne 007 were leading 1-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fleming Benton was the one to do the kick off. Melbourne 007's Jasmine Kuch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 毛 Aaabel in the 54th minute of play. In the 54th minute, 毛 Aaabel made a precise shot to the right of Jasmine Kuch. Melbourne 007's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-6. In the 91st minute, Brook Yard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
