An unexpectedly hard shot by Resul Eralkan in the 35th minute of play forced Eflani's goalkeeper Muharrem Baler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eflani's Muharrem Baler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orbay Tokcan in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Eflani's goal looked a bit too open when Resul Eralkan came free, but Muharrem Baler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Orbay Tokcan made the kick off in the second half. If Orbay Tokcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orbay Tokcan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Muharrem Baler made a huge save. İsmail Cem Osmanoğlu's late challenge caught a Eflani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 87th minute İshak Peşrev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karadeniz Özsan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orbay Tokcans short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Muharrem Baler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Many of VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. VaRıNcA ÇaLdıR iStaNbuL may have spent more time on the ball, but Eflani were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
