In the 30th minute of the game, Bedir Uğursal landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 47th minute, Esat Umay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Under 18 Universe were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 51 minutes, Arda Ozan Şerafeddin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Under 18 Universe and the Pehlivanköy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pehlivanköy booed when Under 18 Universe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arda Ozan Şerafeddin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Güneş Fırıncı successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Güneş Fırıncı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orhan Veli Tokyürek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cem Kırca got free with Güneş Fırıncı in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Aktuğ Bozer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kadri Coşan got free with Güneş Fırıncı in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Under 18 Universe's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
