After 4 played minutes AYYILDIZ got a freekick which was hit by Rıfkı Yelesen. Mert Cevher hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Hulusi Uysal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bektaş Ali Enginalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erkut Yasun in the 10th minute of play. Gökmen Çoğa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haydar Kılıçaslan in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Muammer Adalı notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Çanakkale's Gökmen Çoğa. Gökmen Çoğa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gökmen Çoğa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muammer Adalı, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 23 minutes, Yıldırım Yaman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AYYILDIZ and the Çanakkale players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes AYYILDIZ got a freekick which was hit by Yıldırım Yaman. When Ömer Rıza Reca came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Çanakkale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ömer Rıza Reca couldn't finish the play. After 30 played minutes AYYILDIZ got a freekick which was hit by Recep Sanal. Bektaş Ali Enginalp made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Mustafa Kemal sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute Recep Sanal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökmen Çoğa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gökmen Çoğa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muammer Adalı in the 40th minute of the match. Mustafa Kemal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Ali Enginalp having to interfere. Bektaş Ali Enginalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eren Özduran in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 minutes, Recep Sanal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AYYILDIZ and the Çanakkale players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, AYYILDIZ's Recep Sanal got a free kick in the 44th minute. Eren Özduran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Bektaş Ali Enginalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gökmen Çoğa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haydar Kılıçaslan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eren Özduran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haydar Kılıçaslan got free with Gökmen Çoğa in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to AYYILDIZ getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Yıldırım Yaman hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Haluk Perver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bektaş Ali Enginalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mustafa Kemal in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bektaş Ali Enginalp saved AYYILDIZ from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Şadi Yücelen managed to get in a good position for a shot. AYYILDIZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Şadi Yücelen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gökmen Çoğa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eren Özduran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haluk Perver kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Şadi Yücelen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gökmen Çoğa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gökmen Çoğa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şadi Yücelen in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Eren Özduran notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of AYYILDIZ's Bektaş Ali Enginalp.
