After 7 minutes of play, Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Ata Türkoğlu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ata Türkoğlu couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's Ata Türkoğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeki Akgüneş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emir Kaya in the 17th minute. Fikret Nesim hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Çağatay Sehim to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 minutes, Tacettin İpçi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1930 Bafraspor and the Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa players grew even worse after the yellow card.
