The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Snedspark IF got a freekick which was hit by George Bäcklin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Ugla in the 5th minute of play forced Snedspark IF's goalkeeper Brian Hammarberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Snedspark IF's Peter Brask sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Wall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mikael Arvidsson hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the last second Joel Wall throw himself and got hold of the ball when Peter Brask in the 10thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 11 minutes into the match, Gärsnäs BF's goalkeeper Joel Wall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Brask. After 12 minutes, Dennis Hägglund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Snedspark IF and the Gärsnäs BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gärsnäs BF booed when Snedspark IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Hägglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brian Hammarberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Norström in the 18th minute of the match. George Bäcklin's late challenge caught a Gärsnäs BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Bäcklin helped the player get up and apologised. George Bäcklin kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Snedspark IF's zone, Folke Rydelius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brian Hammarberg came out of the goal and Folke Rydelius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brian Hammarberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gert Norström went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Peter Brask came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Snedspark IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Brask couldn't finish the play. Peter Brask's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Joel Wall skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Snedspark IF defense, Rickard Ugla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brian Hammarberg. The Snedspark IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brian Hammarberg should have stopped the shot. Rickard Ugla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Brian Hammarberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Gert Norström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 45 minutes, Rickard Ugla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gärsnäs BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rickard Ugla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Peter Brask's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Wall was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter Brask stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Peter Brask's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Wall was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Melker Wållander hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 81 minutes, Marcus Hjeltman mouthed his way into the referee's book.
