Per-Erik Ekman dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After the first half Rönnöfors FF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Leo Lönn made the kick off in the second half. In the 76th minute Krister Flinck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Ove Vesterberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. IFK Stockholm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rönnöfors FF the free kick. In the 81st minute, Per-Erik Ekman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 82 played minutes IFK Stockholm got a freekick which was hit by Arvin Tunberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Erik Ekman in the 85th minute of play forced IFK Stockholm's goalkeeper Jan-Ove Vesterberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
