Olov Ström's late challenge caught a IFK Kik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olov Ström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Egon Åkerström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Kik fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Egon Åkerström came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the IFK Kik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egon Åkerström couldn't finish the play. Jonas Gustafsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egon Åkerström's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Torsten Blomberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jonas Gustafsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Gustafsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Myr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Gustafsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Myr, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Egon Åkerström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Jonas Gustafsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. IFK Kik's Håkan Botvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Bengtsson in the 65th minute of play. Patrik Myr in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonas Gustafsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mark Siggman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jonas Gustafsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egon Åkerström in the 95th minute of play forced Höglunda IK's goalkeeper Jonas Gustafsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. IFK Kik's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
